Natukunda Isaiah

Isaiah Natukunda is a 20 year old student and conservation artist in the village of Buhoma-Bwindi, Uganda. In 2022, he met his mentor, Mushamba Moses, founder and director of Rafiki Memorial Wildlife Conservation Initiative, and learned how to paint and draw. His latest artworks are made out of mixed media-- he uses fabric castoffs from the tailors and acrylic paint to create original and creative works of art, while contributing to conservation awareness and earning supplemental support in a conservation-compatible career. Isaiah is now returning to college in IT studies and hopes to continue his artwork when he is on holiday. He also teaches photography, painting and conservation to young children in the community.
