Emilie Meagher

Emilie Meagher (b. 2003) is a painter and textiles artist from London, Ontario. She currently studies studio arts at Concordia University in Montreal.

Her work is primarily influenced by memories and their impact on the creation of identity.

Drawing inspiration from the interaction between vernacular photography and everyday life, she reiterates past instants, placing these scenes on the boundary of reality and the imagined. She strives to make work that investigates memory as a tool that reimagines reality in new ways.

This work is about the intersection of nature and urbanism. It’s about finding pockets of green-space in the city and the influence man has on our environment.
