Privacy Policy — Sofa Remote for Android

This policy applies to Sofa Remote for Android (com.haeseong.sofaremote.android), published by dadamsoft. Contact: hesung0805@gmail.com. It describes the Android app; the separately distributed iPhone and Mac apps have their own platform disclosures.
Remote control and local connection
Sofa Remote connects to a Mac companion chosen by you to provide touchpad, keyboard, media and presentation controls. Pairing requires a QR code or connection information and approval on the Mac. The Android camera reads pairing QR codes on the device; camera images are not uploaded to dadamsoft or advertising and analytics providers. Remote commands and text you choose to send travel directly to your selected Mac over authenticated TLS. dadamsoft does not operate a server that receives your remote input or pairing secrets.
The app stores preferences, saved Mac connection information, pairing credentials and connection history in application storage to reconnect to the Macs you choose. Treat pairing details as private. Forget saved connections in the app and revoke a device in the Mac companion to remove its future access. Uninstalling or clearing Android app storage removes local app data; this does not erase data on the Mac or records retained by Google.
Advertising and privacy choices
The Android app uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and User Messaging Platform (UMP). Ads appear on eligible app screens and app return; active remote input is protected from full-screen ad interruption. Google may process approximate location inferred from IP address, app and advertisement interactions, diagnostic/performance information and device or app identifiers for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Google does not receive remote text, Mac addresses, pairing secrets or camera images through app-defined ad or analytics events. Where applicable, consent choices are requested before eligible ad requests. Available ad privacy options can be reopened in app Settings. Advertising data is transmitted using encryption. Optional usage statistics / 선택적 이용 통계
Usage statistics are off by default. If you opt in, Google Analytics for Firebase receives fixed feature-use, screen-view and advertisement-lifecycle events, app-instance identifiers, app/device information and general location inferred by Google from network information. The app does not add remote text, keyboard input, clipboard contents, Mac names or addresses, connection credentials, pairing secrets, QR images, file contents or coordinates to analytics events. Information is sent encrypted for analytics to the shared dadamsoft app analytics project. Turn sharing off at any time in Settings > Usage statistics. Purchases and access
Subscriptions and purchases use Google Play Billing. Google processes payment information under its policies; dadamsoft does not receive full payment-card details. The app uses purchase and entitlement information to provide the access you buy and restore eligible access. Subscription prices, renewal and cancellation are managed in Google Play. If you use a developer-issued access code, the app checks its signed access information to grant the stated entitlement. Do not share access codes publicly. Google purchase records are not deleted by uninstalling the app; use Google account and Play controls.
Security, retention and your choices
Local app data is retained while needed for the functions and preferences you use, until you remove it or clear app storage. Advertising and analytics providers retain their data under their own policies and account controls. Google may process data in countries outside yours. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. We do not sell your remote input or pairing information. External support, download and privacy links open the website or application you choose, whose practices apply to that visit. The app is not directed to children. Contact us with privacy questions or concerns, including a child's use. Policy changes are identified by the updated date above.
