PinNote provides user-initiated screenshots, black/blur/custom-image masks, floating notes and on-device OCR. Notes, images, screenshots, settings, lock information and reward balances are stored on your device. We do not operate a content server or upload your screenshots, note text or selected images to the developer or advertising providers. Android requests screen-capture and overlay permissions. The optional accessibility service only takes a screenshot when you explicitly request one; it does not retrieve window text or browse screen contents. Standard capture uses Android screen-capture consent.
Advertising
Google Mobile Ads may collect and share approximate location inferred from IP, app/ad interactions, diagnostics and available device identifiers for advertising, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. SDK transfers are encrypted. UMP requests consent where required; available privacy options reopen in app settings. Google controls its retention, international processing and privacy tools under https://policies.google.com/privacy. Your screenshot and note content is not provided as advertising data.
Free features and optional rewards
All features are free with advertising. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Optional rewarded ads grant local credits after the SDK confirms an earned reward. Credits can temporarily turn off ads, are stored locally, and have no cash value. We do not include a separate Firebase Analytics SDK.
Retention, deletion and security
Local notes remain until you delete them or clear app storage. Trash items can be restored; items older than 15 days are removed during app cleanup. Delete exported gallery images, shared files and encrypted backups separately. Uninstalling does not remove external exports. Note locks provide in-app access control, not whole-device encryption. Android sandboxing and encrypted backups provide safeguards. Google-held information follows Google retention and deletion controls.
Sharing, support and children
Sharing and exports occur at your request. Optional support emails are handled through email providers and used to respond; do not send unnecessary sensitive content. Intended for ages 13 and older, not directed to children under 13. Material data-practice changes will be reflected on this page.
