Translating AI Ideas into Architectural Drawings
Revit and diagrams were used as the fourth step in the workflow to translate AI-generated ideas into architectural design logic. After using Gemini for research, ChatGPT for concept development, and MidJourney for visual exploration, the next step was to test the concept through drawings, zoning, circulation, plans, sections, and diagrams.
This stage is important because AI images alone are not enough to explain an architectural project. The idea must be tested through spatial organization, movement, program distribution, daylight, shading, and user experience.
In the Silent Transition project, the drawings show how active and noisy spaces are placed closer to the entrance and public edge, while quieter spaces are placed deeper inside the building. This supports the idea of gradual transition from campus activity to calm interior experience.
Purpose:
To translate the AI-generated concept into architectural drawings, zoning, circulation, massing, daylight, and shading diagrams.
Ground Floor Plan
Shows public, noisy, and fast movement areas.
First Floor Plan
Shows transition and collaboration spaces.
Second Floor Plan
Shows quiet and reflection spaces.
Circulation Diagram
Shows how users move gradually through the building.
Section Drawings
Show vertical relationships, space height, and interior experience.
Zoning Diagram
Shows the arrangement of active, semi-quiet, and quiet spaces.
I used Revit and diagrams to organize the spatial logic of the project. The AI outputs helped generate ideas and atmosphere, but the diagrams helped convert those ideas into a clearer architectural process. This stage allowed me to test where spaces should be located, how users move, and how the concept can be represented visually.

AI suggested ideas and atmosphere, but the final spatial organization, zoning, circulation, and diagram logic were decided manually by the designer.
