My name is Anouk Govil, and I’m nuts about surfing. I love the waves, and I spend as much time as I can riding them on my board. During my free time, I read up on surfing articles.

Last week, I came across a fun article about some of the most impressive surfing records known to man. Allow me to share them with you.

Most successful professional surfer

In terms of championships, Kelly Slater has 11 world championship, 55 wins in his career, and holds the distinction of being both the youngest and oldest champion in men’s surfing history. Slater is also considered the greatest pro surfer of all time.

282

That’s the number of surfboards stacked on top of the roof of a car. This was done in Santa Barbara, California. To add to that unbelievable record, the car made it a hundred feet before giving up.

47

That’s the number of people a single custom-made board carried. This was accomplished in Queensland, Australia, in March 2005.

Dale Webster

Nobody on this planet can hold a candle to Dale Webster when it comes to love of surfing. He holds the record for the number of days he’s surfed. He started on Sept. 2, 1975, and hasn’t skipped a day since. He’s definitely part of the “Anouk Govil Lifetime Heroes” list.
