Welcome aboard the  VERDANT DAWN, the flagship corsair of the ARCADIAN ORDER OF BAERON. THE VERDANT DAWN and all seafaring ARCADIANS are known by their purple field with a black crab claw circumscribed in gold.  

CLAWDIA, serves as  your party's pet or shared familiar. She can assist the party both on and off ship in many ways.  She has stats blocks, actions, and a personality. Players can take turns roleplaying her.  She's a scruffy, protective crab and tends to be grumpy or hostile toward new acquaintances.  When roleplaying, think about the new SUPERMAN movie and his and SUPERGIRL's pet pooch, KRYPTO. Clawdia does as she pleases and can be unpredictable, but she's always thinking about the party and the ship, even when her actions cause trouble rather than help. CLAWDIA is very strong and has incredible pinchers. She can carry items, squeeze through small holes, or act as an informant. 

In addition, the ship has an awakened lemon tree, MARMALADE, with a lime and an orange branch grafted onto him. Characters must harvest his citrus to prevent scurvy, but be warned: MARMALADE must feel like a contributing and valued member and not just used for his fruit. Otherwise, he will unpot himself and hide on ship. He also has stat blocks that a player may use for an on-ship battle. MARMALDE may squirt lemon in an enemy's eyes,  use his roots to trip or grapple, or he may simply unpot himself and serve as an informant of enemy goings-on.
