Creating your own character is a lot of fun, but can feel intimidating. First, look at the list below to begin your journey. Click here to watch a video explanation of how to create a D&D Character Sheet.
1. Write down some NOTES
What makes your character unique and interesting? Think about weapons, magic, clothing, and armor. Consider how they act or behave. Follow the steps in blue below to continue making your own character.
What CLASS is your character: Monk, Barbarian, Rogue, Fighter, Ranger, Paladin, Cleric, Druid, Bard, Warlock, Sorcerer or Wizard? Use the CHOOSE A CLASS graphics below to help you decide what class to play.
What RACE is your character? There are tons of races in D&D. Many of them are included in the free D&D Beyond account. The graphic below has recommendations for the best races for each class, but you can choose ANY RACE you want. It's your character. Have fun with it.
Draw a PICTURE of your character by hand. It'll help you visualize your character. Then, GOOGLE GEMINI to create an AI image of your character.
Go to D&D BEYOND and use their free account to create up to six characters, or you can subscribe and make unlimited characters. Export to PDF and print, or use your app during play to keep track of your character's stats.
