Honza Hissthrasher was born into a large litter of tabaxi (cat-folk) in the city, where he learned to make do with whatever he had around him. His innate crafting and handi-skills led him to work in the jewelry trade as an artisan. He crafted the most beautiful works of jewelry, glass, and leather works and became known for it. The stress of the city and the dishonorable actions of so many in power led him on a different path. Honza soon joined the Order of Baeron to defend the honorable and innocent. When not out on missions, he frequently creates magnificent works of art that the Order of Baeron uses to sell and finance their work.
He is calm and thoughtful, calculating the best moves for him and his group. He's quiet and unassuming but essential to a group's success. He's a master of all trades and knows a little bit about everything. Honzo believes in fairness and honor, treating others right because it's the right thing to do. Once you are on his bad side, you stay there. He is careful and you must earn his trust. He is very loyal to those he trusts and those who are honorable.
HOOK SWORDS
Like Jet in Avatar the Last Airbender, these Chinese hook swords are a powerful tool.
2 attacks per turn
Special: Trip. When trying to take the Shove action while wielding this weapon, you can make an attack roll with your weapon instead of a Strength (Athletics) check.
Special: Disarm. You can try to trap an opponent's weapon while wielding one hook sword in each hand. When a creature misses you on an attack with a melee weapon, you can use your reaction to make a grapple attempt against the attacker. The target may end this grapple by releasing their weapon. While grappling your opponent's weapon, you can't make attacks against them with the hook swords but you can make a DC 10 sleight of hand to steal it.
Special: Link. While wielding one hook sword in each of your hands, you can link them together as a bonus action until the end of your turn. They gain the reach property, and their damage die becomes a d4. Due to the concentration necessary to effectively wield a linked hook sword, this still counts as wielding two weapons.
