Blister Brightblade was an up-and-coming nobleman of name and rank in the sewers, backwaters, alleys, and dark places beneath the sprawling city of Laagehoven in the land of Mirabilis. Rich and important, the Brightblades occupied the rat-folk seat on the city council and the Brightblade family ran the underground communication, financial, and judicial systems that the city of Laagehoven relied on. Blister was charged with transporting a dignitary out of the city unscathed, as the dignitary had assassins after him. Blister and his garrison failed to protect the dignitary and he brought widespread notoriety and shame upon his family and their name. Blister left his position and rank for temporary exile until he can prove himself with a grandiose deed gone viral and restore his family's honor. He now serves as a general in the Order of Baeron, and he's seeking a chance to do a great deed and return to his family and his rank in Laagehoven.
