Memorial Issue for Markus Buttiker

The Memorial Issue of Physica E is now published. Many thank to my friends Philippe, Carlo, and Peter for helping me to edit this volume. Thanks also to Markus's many students and colleagues for contributing articles for this journal special issue.

Markus was a remarkable physicist who made a profound impact on my scientific career, and overall approach to science. He continues to be greatly missed. I hope this volume will be a lasting token of appreciation for his life and work.
