ELECTRICITY & MAGNETISM I

Welcome to Physics 217! We will be learning about electricity and magnetism during this term and the next. The class is held Tuesday, Thursday from 12:30-1:45, in Gavet 312. Our textbook this term is David Griffith's "Introduction to Electrodynamics". We will use the 4th edition.

The final exam is comprehensive

You will have 3 hours to complete the exam. It will have eight problems on it.

As a reminder, you are allowed to bring

1) A single sheet of paper can you write anything on (front and back)

2) A simple calculator (no calculators with memory, no computers, no iphone, etc.)

3) A writing instrument.

The midterm exam will cover up until the end of chapter 2 in Griffiths. That includes this week's homework assignment.

You will have 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete the exam. It will have four problems on it.
