Big Trouble is a collection of six 10-minute plays compiled by Michael Bigelow Dixon and Valerie Smith, originating from the Actors Theatre of Louisville and Walden Theatre. Each play presents a unique blend of comedy and drama, exploring different aspects of human experience. In Blind Alleys, a blind businessman leads his equally blind employees through a workday, showcasing how their blindness is more of an asset than a limitation. Some More Than Others takes place in a ballot-counting room where three students grapple with the morality of ensuring the rightful candidate wins, questioning honesty and political correctness. Clean follows two brothers driving on a foggy night when they possibly hit something—or someone—forcing them to decide whether to call the police or cover it up.
The collection also includes The Shack Attack, which explores themes of protest, human rights, resentment, and prejudice through a clash of differing perspectives. Each of these plays uses humor, tension, and sharp dialogue to examine personal and societal dilemmas, making Big Trouble a thought-provoking and entertaining theatrical experience
