Apparatus placed appropriately
supply and attack lines laid
ground and aerial ladders ready for use
11 of 36 rostered members for a possible structure fire
finding location - not always obvious
Remember apprentices observe - do not expect them to get tools
Choice of parking; many looking for indication balanced with getting POV out of way; busy 4 lane - seek side streets
Better inital radio communication upon arrival: "Brick multi-family on corner of Brown and Howland. Nothing showing, out to investigate."
Lack of radio use early. Used face-to-face during hectic inital stage. Radio usage allows all to hear, not just one person.
Better use of our fireground to communicate status
Drivers - knowing the apparatus role - did you setup early for later sucess? Were you ready and equiped to do more than just operate if needed?
Responding FFs - did you use the pager to monitor radio communications? Did you come prepared ?
