All apparatus contain portable radios. Each has one smaller, non-interior radio for the driver/operator and a number of larger, interior radios for use on the fireground. All radios on apparatus have in-truck chargers. Other than the 2 large banks on E2, all have an elastic tie-down to ensure charging and accident safety. It is essential that the driver of each apparatus check that these tie-downs are correctly in place at the conclusion of each call.
