AFFORDABLE SENIOR HOUSING
There is no really good news on this front. Anything rated as "affordable for seniors" usually has a Wait List and the San Diego Housing Commission that is suppose to help low income folks and seniors find housing CLOSED their Wait List portal as of February 1st 2026 and no one else can sign up.

The City does have a really informative newsletter for Seniors from Age Well Services. It used to be called "The Scroll" and it was mailed to you but now you can only subscribe by email to read it through Age Well Services. Click HERE and you will see a link that says "Recieve Newsletter via Email".
Click on it and put in your email there and it will get you subscribed to their quarterly newsletter
