Plenary Lecture

"Selective oxidations with H2O2 catalyzed by zirconium(IV):

is it a reality?"

Oxana Kholdeeva graduated from the Novosibirsk State University and in 1983 joined the Boreskov Institute of Catalysis (BIC), Novosibirsk, where she headed the research group for Heterogeneous Catalysts for Liquid-Phase Selective Oxidation. She was also a visiting professor at the US (Emory, Atlanta) and Italian (Milan, Bologna) Universities. Oxana Kholdeeva is a member of the International Advisory Boards for Activation of Dioxygen and Homogeneous Catalytic Oxidations (ADHOC) and World Congress on Oxidation Catalysis (WCOC). She has authored more than 160 scientific papers and, together with Mario G. Clerici, edited a book “Liquid Phase Oxidation via Heterogeneous Catalysis: Organic Synthesis and Industrial Applications” (Wiley, 2013). Her current research is focused on studying mechanisms of activation of hydrogen peroxide and rational design of new selective oxidation catalysts.
