Four Rivers (Radiophrenia mix September 2020)
The work is a sonic flow as a river journey, composed of multiple looped sequences, weather bands of rain and thunder that are evocative of electromagnetic crackling. The sonic palette blended through processing raw field recordings and filtered harmonic sounds. Processed via multiple instances of Pure Data one for each river, random selections, four track playback, mixed live.
Shed Rain Wind (September 2020) Tom Scott
This work was recorded over a week of rain and wind of varying intensities which produced unusual elements within the mix. You know you’re in a shed listening to the rain and wind masking out other sounds, but creating new ones, over whole a subtle dissonance exists with the sounds located at the acoustic horizon that sneak into the near field of the shed. You would imagine it would be a relaxing sound, it is, but stuff keeps happening.
