A short glossary

  • Event: it represents a list of expenses (and other operations) within a group of friends. It could have been called "Account". For example if you have a trip to London with some friends you can create a new event "London 2017" add your friends to it and store all expenses related to this trip. You can create as many events as you need. More information in section Event edition.
  • Operation: this is a money transaction. It could be an expense, a refund, a debt, an income, a withdrawal. More information in section Operation edition.
  • Friend: any person participating to one operation of an event. A new friend can be added in any screen where a friend selection is needed. More information in section Friend edition.
  • Group: in an event some friends can be grouped, usually by family. It is specified in the Friend edition screen. The Who owes to whom screen will be simplified by group instead of friends.
  • Category: this is a mandatory attribute for operations of type "Expense" or "Income". The goal is to organize your expenses in different Categories. If you don't need it you can still use only one category. More information in section Category edition
