Event edition

When you create or edit an event, the edition screen is composed of several sections:

In this section you can

  • select an icon for your event (please contact the developer abcbainfo@gmail.com if you need new icons)
  • enter a name for your event. The name is not an identifiant for the event, you can have several events with the same name.

In this section you can:

  • enter the main currency of your event. This is free text, a currency is not necessarily a real currency. For example if you want to manage carpooling your currency can be miles, kilometers or rides. It is better to use short text to not pollute the display of amounts.
  • select the currency position (left or right)
  • select the precision: automatic, always 2 digits, always 0 digits. Auto will display digits only if different from 0.
  • Add other currencies. The application can manage several currencies per event. You can specify or download exchange rates.

In this section you can:

  • add as many friends as you need for this event. The application will ask you to access to your address book in order use the data of your contacts (picture, first name, last name, email, phone number). A friend name is free text but it is recommended to enter it in the format <firstname> <lastname>. Later, according to the space available on the screen, the application will display the full name, only the firstname or the initials.

In this section you can:

  • select your preferred language for export and reporting (email, pdf, sms, excel,...)
  • enable or not the automatic backup on Google Drive. It is highly recommended to activate this option as it can avoid data loss. The automatic backup is done once a day if the event data has changed. You can select here the day time when the backup should be done. You can also restrict backup on wifi network. This will not activate the wifi of your mobile, it will wait for an established wifi connection to process your event backup. The day time and wifi option are common for all events, if you change it, it will apply for all your events.
  • enter event description. This is free text to describe your event. It will be displayed in your event screen and in reports like PDF and Excel.
