Here is my Chapter 7 test analysis.

Rationale: This project was on Chapter 7 of Educational Psychology by Anita Woolfolk. Tests like these allow teachers to aid student learning by evaluating students based on scores and determining if students are comprehending the material or need help. Assessments also help teachers in modifying lesson plans as needed based on student performance. They also give teachers solid evidence of individual students performance and those students struggles and strengths.

This relates to ITPS standards and performance indicators as follows:

Performance indicator 7J states the competent teacher uses assessment results to determine student performance levels, identify learning targets, select appropriate research-based instructional strategies, and implement instruction to enhance learning outcomes. As I stated above, this assessment can be used to help navigate instruction based on performance levels. I can use different strategies to help struggling students, I can challenge gifted students and I can really help students get on track to comprehend the learning target.

Performance indicator 7K states the competent teacher appropriately uses a variety of formal and informal assessments to evaluate the understanding, progress, and performance of an individual student and the class as a whole. This formal assessment gives me a solid indication of overall student performance, progress and understanding. Each students scores are recorded and saved, I can see how each individual performed which will help me determine their strengths and weaknesses within the learning target.

Performance indicator 7M states the competent teacher maintains useful and accurate records of student work and performance. As stated above, assessment are important and useful. Record of student performance is as well. This can be used for communication with all invested parties. I can also use this to gauge progress of the individuals learning. Using test on google forms allows for easy and accurate record keeping.

Performance indicator 7O states the competent teacher effectively uses appropriate technologies to conduct assessments, monitor performance, and assess student progress. Use of google forms, as I stated above, is very easy to use and keep records. Forms such as these are easy for teachers to create and easily accessible for students in the classroom provided the right supplies such as a laptop, tablet or even smart phone. This allows teachers to monitor progress and assess students easier.
