Above is a lesson plan for teaching the back squat to high school students. I taught this lesson during my student teaching.
Standard 3; 3C states the teacher "understands cultural, linguistic, cognitive, physical, and social and emotional differences, and considers the needs of each student when planning instruction". I include in the lesson different ways to teach the back squat and show proper form. I perform the movement and have video and written instructions and pictures. I also provide modification (goblet squat) for those who can not do the movement with a barbell properly.

Standard 3; 3E states the teacher "understands the appropriate role of technology, including assistive technology, to address student needs, as well as how to incorporate contemporary tools and resources to maximize student learning". Different and creative styles of teaching were needed during the pandemic. This assignment is just one example of how Physical Education teachers needed to get creative and utilize certain technological tools to effectively teach.
This was very effective in helping me create an effective way to teach body movement. I learned a lot of exercise through video but never had to actually explain it myself. Being required to effectively communicate over video helps me in my communication of movement to students.
