Future logicians, statisticians, and mathematicians, I celebrate your triumphant arrival to day 1 of online math learning. Welcome, and please put on your mathematical precision caps. We are going to start things slowly. This week will be mostly review, but we will introduce a couple of new concepts. Today I have given you an assignment on Khan Academy, well actually several assignments. They are all review of very simple decimal addition and subtraction. These first assignments will be due on Friday in case we have to deal with any unexpected technical issues but it definitely should not take you too long to do. You will receive a second math assignment on Thursday. For those of you who zoom through this assignment, please use your extra time to forge ahead into new material on Khan Academy.

You will note that I did not assign you any explanation videos to watch. However, if you struggle with these problems at all, I implore, beg, plead with you to watch the applicable videos. If you are still having difficulties, you can reach out to me via email and get any help you need! It will be useful, though not necessary, to have the common decimals and fractions chart memorized to do this assignment. If you have lost yours, it is posted below.

If you do not know your Khan login information, email me. I made a video explaining how to access various things on Khan Academy. You shouldn't need it, but in case you do, just click the technical support link below and then watch the video about Khan Academy.
