Friday 20MAR2020

The end of our first week of online learning, pat yourself on the back! You've been doing all this learning practically on your own. Next week I will give you another batch of Khan assignments. These will also be a review of concepts we have already covered. Please shoot me an email and let me know how the work load was this week. Too much? Too little? I will use your feedback to adjust the quantity I assign.

I have decided to dub this day Fluency Friday. The first thing you will need to do is go to https://www.timestables.com/speed-test/ and then self administer a timed test on the ones through twelves times tables. Please take a screen shot of your results. (instructions can be found below.). After you have done that find a website on which to practice you multiplication tables. I will provide some links below but feel free to practice them on whatever site you prefer or any other method for that matter, I personally enjoy choral counting. After practicing the times tables you struggle with for 20-30 minutes. Re-administer the test. You should strive to be able to have 100% accuracy with a, average of 4-5 seconds. Any improvement will do! Take another screen shot of these new results.

Okay now, here comes the hard part. Please find out the percentage your time decreased or increased by. In order to find this you will need to take the difference between your first and second times, and divide that number by the first time. Please round this number to the hundredths place.

Take your two screen shots along with the percentage change and email these to me. Also keep up the good work on Khan! Have a happy weekend!
