Evans Hall
Evans Hall was built in 1938, as a moment of early expansion of the Residence Campus. The structure is named for Maria Antoinette Evans. As the widow of the President of The United States Rubber Company, Evans left $100,000 to Simmons College in her will. The new housing in Evans Hall allowed Simmons College to shift from a commuter school to an institution at which students could both live and learn. Today, Evans Hall is generally home to upperclass students, and features suite style living.
