The 54 Pilgrim Road Project
South Hall, East House, and Students House
Along with the Refectory, later known as Alumnae Hall, South Hall was the first dormitory built on the Residence Campus in 1905. South Hall and the Refectory were later joined by East House and Students House, which served as “practice homes” for students of School of Household Economics to apply their course learning in real-world residential settings. East House and Students House were deconstructed from the Residence Campus in the late 1980s to clear space for the Holmes Sports Center.
