Maureen Hayes

I have been an educator for 26 years. I have taught 1st & 2nd grade and been a reading specialist. For the past 10 years, I have been an instructional supervisor in Lawrence Township, NJ, overseeing curriculum, instruction, assessment & professional development in grades K-6. 

I have also been married for 25 years and have two children who are growing up way too fast!

When I joined the 4OCF voxer book study in early 2018, it was my first time on voxer and in a book study of this kind. I had no idea that the deep and connecting conversations we were having were not typical, and was thrilled when the group decided to continue after we had finished the book study. The first time I met members of the group in person, it was like meeting up with an old friend. I have come to rely on this group of educators both professionally and personally, and look forward to our daily conversations. I miss everyone when I can’t check in for part of a busy day...but I definitely never miss a day without checking in with my tribe.
