A little bit about me....

I was born, raised, and continue to live in Jacksboro Tx. My small town upbringing has had a huge impact on my life.

I started my education path as a music major at Ranger College. After a couple of years of college, marrying my high school sweetheart, and having an AMAZING instructor (Dr. Linda Fausnaugh) I moved into the education department determined to be a math teacher.

At my first position at Olney Junior High, I taught Math, Music Appreciation, and History of Rock'N Roll for 7 years. I moved to Jacksboro Middle School (my hometown) and taught Math for 13 years before moving to a Digital Coach position and explored Technology Integration full time.

I am now the Technology Integration Specialist for Region 9 Education Service Center. I love that I get to work with educators from 37 school districts now. It has challenged me to "step outside" of my box and consider MANY different classroom settings with varying resources.

I continue my professional growth by staying active in this amazing #4OCFpln Voxer group, participating in different Twitter chats, and signing up for (and moderating) lots of book studies.

The #4OCFplan has had an amazing impact on my life. I always loved trying new things and challenging myself in the classroom. Many of my colleagues would ask "What is Kristi up to today?" Once I was connected with this group of amazing educators, I had this amazing sound board and support system for all my crazy ideas.
