Being an educator and having the privilege to grow and learn everyday along side the learners in my care is such a privilege. Everyday there are struggles and challenges that we overcome and become better for it together.
Since I was a young girl I would rather be outside than inside exploring the world. As a science educator I want to share that enthusiasm for the outdoors so that students will care for and treasure this beautiful earth we live on. I want students to have the tools and skills to ask the hard questions and do something about it. They will be the ones solving the problems of today and tomorrow!
My hope is that as we know better we begin to do better. The children in our care deserve our very best. I truly believe that our education system needs to be torn down and rebuilt upon ideas that we know facilitate true learning and growth, not a system that is built upon archaic ideas. I hope to be part of the change as we move forward!
I am married to a man that challenges me on a daily basis and keeps me on my toes. We have two magnificent Great Pyrenees that also keep us on my toes! They encourage me to see the world through a clear and loving lens!
