I grew up in the Seattle suburb of Lynnwood, WA. I teach in the same school district that I grew up in!
After earning an Associate of Arts degree at a local community college, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and later went on to earn a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Language, Literacy and Culture. In December 2017, I became a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Early-Middle Childhood Literacy.
I started my career in a private school, then went on to teach at a Montessori preschool and then began my journey in public schools. I have taught Kindergarten through fifth grade! I am currently teaching Kindergarten and getting ready to start my 12th year of teaching. I LOVE every day that I get to work with my little people!
My journey into the #4OCFPLN began with a book study on Voxer. Before long, I had become part of this close-knit network of education professionals. My professional learning network pushes my learning deeper, grows my thinking and supports me as I work with my students.
