This week's #TroopTuesday features Girl Scout Troop 30197! The troop earned their Cake Decorating badge with Mrs. Sharon Murray of Simply Sweet Cakery on December 1st. The girls began the day by making a cake from scratch and a cake from a mix so that they could do a taste test later. The vote was split on which one they thought tasted the best. Girls designed their own cakes on paper and a cupcake wrapper. They also learned different techniques for icing cupcakes using swirls and stars. The girls enjoyed decorating cupcakes to look like snowmen, Christmas trees and Rudolph. They even made one cupcake look like a cup of hot chocolate! A sweet time was had by all!
