March 30th

Hi again,

We've added a couple of activities below for those who fancy a change or would prefer project type work. This can be started straight away or next week. Just another little choiceboard to tie into Easter activities over the next week, and project style work from our Window of the World books based on the Vikings . Again, these are all discretionary activities so do what you can or what your parents ask.

It's also a perfect time to practise your tables. Practise your chants or challenge siblings/parents/guardians. Even try the game 'Hit the Button' here: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button

If you want to access the Window of the World book to help out with these tasks, you can access the book by following these instructions:

Follow the steps below to get access:

  1. Go to https://www.edcolearning.ie/login

  2. Use the username – primaryedcobooks

Hi all,

We hope you're all well and have a lot of the work we set for you on Thursday 12th March nearly done but are also helping around your house with jobs, staying active, limiting screen time and staying in contact with family and friends through phonecalls and messages etc.

We are putting up the choiceboards below for you to complete next week (or this week if you have your other work done.) There's a Maths Board, a Writing Board, a Reading Board and an Active Board. We would like you to choose one item from each board and complete each day. If you really wish (and have time), you could pick two items but we want to make sure you try something from each subject area.

You should also continue on with your Mental Maths work each day (Week 27 next) and I have also attached the novel 'Butterfly Lion' Mr Lyons' class had started but had to collect up before we left. Try to read a little more from where we left off or start anew with your parents.

There are some Gaeilge flashcards below too. Try and use your cómhrá with your parents or siblings around the house as much as possible. There's also a few phrases to use when playing a board game. Déan iarracht iad a úsáid!

Finally, we've left a video about the story of Easter and a short book too. Have a read/look and talk about it with your parents and siblings.

We'll keep you updated and check back here for more updates in future.

Stay safe...

Mr Lyons, Ms McLean, Ms O'Reilly and Ms Peyton.
