If the device features any internal telephony ports, they are added to the FSN 3CX PBX Appliance as gateway devices through the 3CX user interface. In this manner, the telephony ports can be utilized to host extensions, or place and receive external calls.
Trunk ports are added to the system under the SIP Trunks menu.

Extension ports are not added as gateways under SIP Trunks, rather, they are added as FXS devices, from the FXS/DEC T menu that is available after expanding the "Advanced
node. Once again, devices are identified by their MAC address, so be sure to have the MAC address of your internal device on hand.
Expand the "Advanced" node, and select FXS/DECT. Then select Add FXS, select FarSouth as the vendor, and then select the model that represents your device's FXS capabilities.

Once the device has been added, navigate to the Extensions tab, and select extensions to occupy the FXS ports.
Extensions can be associated with the FXS ports by selecting an existing extension from the drop down list.
Following the adding of your hardware devices, whether trunk gateways, or FXS, the internal VCX gateway should be configured with the appropriate credentials within 2 minutes.
You can confirm the configuration of the VCX gateway by investigating the status of the trunks and extensions reflected in the 3CX GUI.
Trunks and extensions show a green status once registration has been successful. A red status indicates that the registration has not yet been successful.
