This was released with an all glossy, white 360 slim console, and sold individually in the package seen below. Even though this is post-2010, no transforming d-pad nor concave sticks. The major differences of this compared to the 2005 white, is that it’s more of a pure white.

It has a matte, pure white shell, and glossy white top and bottom trims. Has the shiny guide button, white start/back, bumpers, sync and triggers(it’s a different shade than the 2005 white), along with light grey thumbsticks and d-pad. Does have a matching white battery shell.

For some reason, this controller is already discoloring rather fast, so finding it in its original form may get tough. Have found many that looked barely used, but have turned a cream colour. Unsure why it would be doing it this soon. Many of the original white/grey controllers are starting to yellow in 2020, but you’ll still find many that are in better shape than this one.

North America Packaging:

Japan Packaging: Japan

Australia/Asia Packaging:

*Special White(top) Comparison to the original 2005 White(bottom):

Star Wars C-3PO Wireless Controller:

  • Release/End Date: Apr. 3rd, 2012(US)

  • Regions: Worldwide

  • Retail Price: N/A

  • Sold As: Star Wars Slim Console Bundle Only(foam wrapper packaging)

  • Batteries: Duracell

  • Controller Input Colour: Black

  • Controller Model: 1403=TP21 board = Controller Part No: X859621-001

Released before the Chrome series even started and a full year before the Gold Chrome was eventually released. What makes this controller special is the little wires design on the bottom trim and it was only sold with the white Star Wars slim 360 console(320gb hdd, white Kinect, and bundled with the Kinect Star Wars game).

Because they weren't sold individually, it's harder to come by this specific controller, and I often see people selling the normal chrome gold as the 'star wars' controller. So make sure to see a picture of the wires on the bottom trim before believing it to be the proper 3cpo controller and if you want to go further, make sure it matches the part number as well.

This has a gold chrome front, with standard matte black backing, glossy black top trim. Black concave thumbsticks, start/back, bumpers, sync, and triggers. It also has the silver transforming d-pad and the shiny guide button. Then a special wire pattern on the bottom trim.

The Blue, Silver, and Red were the first of the Chrome series controllers to be released in 2012. They look nice on the front, but Microsoft skimped on the back by using a standard, matte black. Also, while nice to look at from being super shiny, they are fingerprint and scratch magnets, so don’t expect to keep these in great shape if you want to use this as a daily controller. They do all have the transforming d-pad, and concave sticks.

Shiny blue chrome on the front, but a matte black backing and glossy black top/bottom trims. Has the silver transforming d-pad, black concave thumbsticks, start/back, bumpers, sync, and triggers. Also has the standard color ABXY buttons and a shiny guide button.
