This week in Maths we will be looking at Place Value.
We have done lots of work on place value this year so I know we will do great work. Remember your headings Hundreds, Tens and Units, HTU.
You will complete work on an abacus and notation boards, remember to fill in how many hundreds, tens and units and if there is none make sure to write a zero!
Fine Motor Skills
For this weeks work on your motor skills we would love to see you doing something you are doing at home, it could be helping at home with some jobs, for example sweeping or it could be something you do outdoors like, walking your pet or on your scooter/bike. You can share your activity with us on seesaw.
I WENT SHOPPING…
This is like the Suitcase game from week four.
The aim of the game is to remember as many items purchased at the shops as possible!
To play
The first player starts the game by saying, “I went shopping and bought a ____,” identifying an item they would buy.
The second player continues, “I went shopping and bought a (names the first player’s item) and a ___ (adding a new item to the list).”
Players continue taking turns to remember the items purchased in order as the list gets longer and longer. The winner is the last person who can correctly name all of the items in sequence.
Concentration
Follow this Mindmasters video about brain yoga and concentrate on each animal movement. This will help concentration, memory and you will feel relaxed.
