This week our maths topic is fractions. There is an online activity/game that matches with each worksheet.

Facts about halves
-Each half must equal. There is no such thing as a 'bigger half.'
-2 halves make one whole.
-Use a ruler to draw the halves if you have one.
-Doubles can help us with our halves.
-Here is how we do question a)
1+1=2 half of 2=1
-An easy way to look at quarters is - to half it and then half it again.
-Take a page and half it and then half it again. When you unfold the page it will be divided into quarters.
-Quarters are 4 pieces. That is why there is a number 4 on the bottom.
-Just like halves all the pieces must be equal in size.
-4 quarters makes on whole.
