Write this list into your copy and practise them every day like we do in school.
Say one sentence each day to your grown up using one or two of the spellings (they do not have to be written down).
You're all doing super reading in your On The Move! Well done!

Making Sentences
Beginnings (prefixes) and Endings (suffixes) of words
Punctuation (. , ? !)
This Week in Maths we are looking at Fractions.
We begin by looking at Halves, a lovely story that tells us all about this concept is
Now would be a good idea to find something in our house that we can use to divide in half e.g dried pasta, blocks or buttons. Share these out between you and some one at home. If I have 2 blocks and i share them out, I get one and the other person gets one, do this with 4,6,8 all the way up to 20.
Next we look at quarters, thats when we divide something up into 4 equal parts.
Get a piece of paper and fold it in half and then fold it in half again, when you open it out you will see that it has been divided into 4 parts which we call quarters.

A lovely activity to do this week would be to make woollen heart shapes
Its nearly Valentines day so these would make a lovely decoration in your house.
This activity not only works on your fine motor skills but also on your concentration.
You need wool or string and some card board.
You can ask your adult to cut out 3 heart shapes they can be small medium and large. Next cut out a smaller heart in the middle of each of these to leave a boarder ready for weaving.
You can now paint or colour the cardboard hearts what ever colour you would like. Next stick the wool or string to the back of the heart and weave around each one. Remember to share your at home work with us on seesaw if you like.
Can you follow the instructions carefully to complete the pictures?
The Suitcase Game
This is a round-the-table memory game. In a group (your family), go around in turn and say what you are putting in the suitcase. Each person has to say all the other items as well as their own new one. If you get it wrong, you’re out! To keep things fresh, decide on a theme of the objects (food, toys, celebrities etc) – it doesn’t always have to be travel-based.
Brain Yoga
Take your left hand, make a fist, and extend your thumb; holding this, do the same with your right, only extend your little pinky. Now change them so it’s left pinky and right thumb. The co-ordination involved will strengthen neural connections, which will help develop the memory!
