On The Move

This weeks story is called Dan's Magic Gold pages 104-110 of the reader.

Read the story. When you have finished answer the questions in your Portfolio Book pages 62-65.

Wednesday: We will do part A & B, page 62.

Thursday: We will do part C & D, page 62 & 63

Friday: We will do part E & G, page 64 & 65.

Remember to use a pencil in your Portfolio Book and to try your best with your neatest handwriting.

Phonics

Here is a lovely video on this weeks long /u/ sound.

Remeber the long u sound can be written in different ways (u-e as in huge, ew as in view, oo as in roof and ue as in argue)

Here is a nice game from TopMarks.co.uk.

It's called Sled Dog Dash.

We have to listen carefully and follow the instructions to help Molly & Tooey on their adventures.

Early Finishers

Here are a few extra ideas to keep you busy if you have managed to complete all of the work already.

Comic Books

Why not create your very own comic book in your copy or on your tablet.

Divide your sheet/screen into 6 or 9 squares where you can come up with your own adventure.

Try to include a beginning, middle and end. Have fun :)

Dear Diary...

This week we wrote a diary entry for Dan.

Copy this template in your own copybook and write a diary entry.

Here are some ideas: The day I met the Queen, The day I became famous, The day I went to a chocolate factory, The day I flew around the school on a unicorn. (Feel free to make up your own ideas also!)
