We will have one main animation project that will cover the 12 principles of animation. All required elements are listed in the Checklist with Examples.
It must be at least 12 seconds and no longer than 18 seconds. This will allow us to have the highest quality animation in the time period for the course.
Please review the 12 Principles videos first before planning. I will teach the principles and the checklist throughout the course and they are required to be applied to your project.
In your storyboard, you will make detailed notes about where you will be doing each animation principle.

You will be creating all of the art and animation in Adobe Animate, which is especially adept at vector illustration. Vector illustration has some advantages over bitmap illustration, including:
Infinite scalability without soft or jagged edges
Lines can be set to "not scale", which can create the illusion of traditional hand-drawn animation
It's very easy to revise and manipulate shapes
File sizes are manageable
Playback in the editor is quick and smooth (as long as point counts are managed)
The software is a part of your adobe package
Once you learn this software you will be able to bring the animation skills into any other animation software either proprietary or industry standard through out your career according to what your clients or employers ask you to work in.
