Zoom has an excellent tutorial series for setting up and using Zoom. It allows you to learn step by step, form beginning to advanced.
In the Canvas Callendar I will list the Zoom link for you to join.
There is also a tab in Canvas for the Zoom schedule.
I recommend using a photo for your profile picture. Your fellow meeting participants generally want to know what you look like. The picture you choose should be able to work with a wide range of audiences.
Here is a pretty good tutorial for how to fix the issue of your profile pic not showing up.
When you present your projects it is good communication practice to use your video camera so that your audience can connect with you.
There are some cases where your internet may not be able to stream your video and then it is ok after mentioning that to your group that you will be turning your camera off.
It is appropriate to turn your camera off when you are working on your project, not presenting, not asking questions, and not in a discussion.
Because this is a HyFlex course, there will be students on Zoom and in person, if you are in person and in a conversation with a student on Zoom please make sure that the person who is on Zoom can hear you by asking them. If you are not close to a microphone, come closer so that you can be heard. You may also participate in the chat by joining the zoom meeting while you are in person.
Susan reserves the right to change times, please stay posted to the announcements and your Ferris Email.
