If we are to choose life, then we not only live life but we must also defend life. Defense of life brings us to active work in pro-life advocacy, and in the defense of the Church and her Magisterium.

To be pro-life advocates, we must first all be knowledgeable. We must know the issues and arguments. This is especially because media is by and large liberal and often supports the anti-life positions. What we would normally see and hear is skewed to favor the pro-choice side, which regularly twists facts, figures and situations. 

The good news is that there is a wealth of materials on pro-life, readily available on the Internet, social media and on the websites of reputable pro-life organizations. There are also a number of news organization that offer free email subscriptions and provide daily pro-life updates. We are limited only by the time, effort and energy we are willing to put in. Then we should find our niche. There are so many things that a pro-lifer can do, and many particular advocacies that one can be involved in. Pro-life groups should work together and collaborate. Not every group need to do everything. There can be specialization. Groups need to find their particular calling or expertise, and focus on that.

Here are some practical actions that individuals can do:

• Create or share pro-life social medial contents

• Participate in March for life

• Put pro-life bumper stickers on your car

• Write letters to the editors and to legislators

• Share your pro-life views with your friends

• Encourage your pastors and even bishops  to speak out strongly and clearly about life

• Support pro-life work with your finances

• Pray for the culture of life to prevail

Pro-lifers need great commitment. It will not be easy. The anti-life forces will not just cede their territory easily. 

The final battle between the Lord and the reign of Satan will be about marriage and the family. However, Sr. Lucia also offered words of encouragement to Cardinal Caffarra, who had just stepped into the front ranks of this battle, adding: Don’t be afraid, because anyone who works for the sanctity of marriage and the family will always be fought and opposed in every way, because this is the decisive issue. Sr. Lucia concluded: However, Our Lady has already crushed its head.
