This is an advanced creative writing and arts course focused on the practice of creative writing, storytelling and other arts practices, with a focus on investigating and exploring the exacerbated, economic fault lines for working class lives in times of crisis.
The exposure to different forms of writing in this class has made me think and understand more about writing, and that different genres have different beauty. For me, writing now means more than just recording my life, it allows me to focus on more issues and details, and it also allows me to tell others what I think in my mind. Not speaking out is equal to not happening. Without writing and sharing, many voices would be covered up, and for many things, speaking out for myself and speaking out for others is what opens up more possibilities. I hope to keep the habit of writing in the future, because writing is the carrier to realize our connection with the world, with the community, and with strangers, the blooming of our minds and souls, and the core competitiveness of everyone in this era, and a weapon that can be picked up at any time at hand.
