1st Harpenden use Online Scout Manager (OSM) to manage badge records, programmes, events and camps.
To access OSM you need to have completed your GDPR training and have a valid DBS certificate.
If you do not have 'Leader Access' to OSM please speak to your section leader.

To send an email from OSM: Login to your section in OSM, go to Members - Personal Details, select the members, click Send Email.

You can send an email to all the parents for a particular section from your own email account like Outlook, Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo etc, either from your phone or from your home laptop. See here for steps.

Sometimes a young person might need to have their personal details in both their new and old sections at the same time. For example, their new section wants to invite them to an activity next term but they are attending an activity with their old section right up until the start of the new term. In this scenario the old section can use the ‘share with another section’ option in OSM instead of ‘transfer’. Once the activities with the old section are complete, the old section would use the ‘remove’ option in OSM, this only removes the member from the old section and not from the new section, the young person will still be a member of the new section.
