What do Beaver Scouts wear?

Once your child has been with us for a few weeks, they will need a uniform; uniform should be worn to every scout meeting. New members should wear comfy clothes for their first few meetings, suitable for sporty games.  

Our uniform consists of the turquoise Beaver sweatshirt, neckerchief and woggle. Plain dark blue or black bottoms, shorts or activity trousers and should be worn to all meetings unless specified otherwise  

There are lots of other optional uniform and accessories you can wear, such as hats, polos and hoodies.  

We provide the neckerchief and badges, but you need a new one or lose them, then it will be down to you to pay for replacements  

We also advise walking boots or walking shoes as these are designed to protect their feet better while out walking and doing some of the activities. But again, we understand you can’t always do this, so strong sturdy trainers will do, preferably black or blue. 

For outdoor activities and camp, they can wear more practical clothing for the weather, like waterproofs and hats. 

Wearing a uniform is comfy and practical. It means you can run around and get messy without ruining your other clothes. It makes you feel part of a team. It means no one feels uncomfortable or left out and it gives you a place to show off all the brilliant badges you earn. But if cost is an issue, again, please speak with your section leader.
