Be open to try new things and have fun doing them
Show pride in being a member of the 1st Cheriton Scouts
Come dressed smartly and in full uniform blue/black trousers or skirt (leg wear, must be able to tuck their blouse/shirt into and still look smart), shirt/blouse with all newly issued badges sown on, neckerchief & woggle and clean black polished shoes or hiking shoes or boots.
No talking during flag break / flag down including inspection or notices
Wear or bring appropriate clothing for outdoor activities for the evening or day.
Attend regularly, be punctual and notification of any absence
Respect other people’s opinions, possessions and no swearing or bullying
Keep my mobile phone on silent and put away.
Listen to Leaders and PL’s & APLs
Help at fundraising activities so we can all enjoy the rewards
PLs / APLs are to set good examples to the other Scouts
Most Important – Enjoy ourselves and HAVE FUN
Sanctions for breaking the Code
Any breaking of the code will be dealt with in the following ways:
First offence = Verbal Warning.
Second offence = Yellow Card = exclusion from that part of the evening.
Third offence = Red Card = exclusion from the following week’s meeting or activity.
Parents will be informed of all red card offences.
Repeated Red card offences may result in the young person being asked to leave the troop.
As an invested member of the Troop, you were asked to make the Scout Promise and expected to abide by its principals and the Scout Law.
