Chapters 14-15 Analysis:
In this section O’Briens character is developed into Julia and Winston lifes. Winston learns that his suspicions were right and O’Brien was indeed a member of the brotherhood. It seems as though the pair has finally caught a break. Both have gone through great hardships and with finally joining the brotherhood they can have the support and resources to help the rebellion. However there is a discontent that presents itself between Julia and Winston. As O’Brien tells them their responsibilities and duties as brotherhood members Winston agrees with every condition. But when presented with the same questions Julia refuses the term that Winston and her may be separated. Doubts arise in the relationship as Julia sees the relationship as love and Winston sees it more as rebellion to the party.
Although a lot of doubt hinders their relationship and decisions both agree to the terms. The climax of 1984 has reached a high as the hero and heroine have finally achieved what they have been after. There is a lot of unclear air about the party and parole so there is a likely chance that Julia and Winston may be in terrible danger.
