Zaha Hadid

Biography

Zaha Hadid was born in Baghdad the october 31 of 1960 in a rich family . She started the mathematic studies in the American University in Beirut .

In 1972 she moved to London to study at the Architectural Association and upon graduation in 1977, she joined to the Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA).

Zaha began her own practice in London in 1980 ,winning prestigious competitions since 1983 the Architectural Association has been showing her work in exhibitions.

Named the queen of curves and knew as an architect who consistently pushes the limits of design (especially urban ) her designs always experiments with spatial concepts.

Parallel with her private practice ,Hadid has continued to be involved in academics,holding chairs and guest professorships at Harvard University .

Zaha Hadid always investigate and develop new and creative things .She died the 31 march 2016 being the first woman to receive the Pritzker.


Legacy

Her designs are well known all over the world ,some of the most known ones are Fire Station (1993) , Bridge Pavilion at the Zaragoza Expo (2000) , Center of contemporary art (2003) , Ski Jump (2004).

Her designs guided the new architects with the possibility of using curves and spacial concepts on buildings, giving each construction a part of itself since her dead as its amazing proper designs.
