Marija Eiferova 

Marija Eiferova is an Artistic Director, Choreographer, and Teacher, currently leading the Carrousel Dance Ensemble (CDE) in Maastricht. Marija holds a BA in Choreography (JVLMA) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Dance in London

Marija has received wide acclaim for her choreographies, showcased across Europe, Latin America, Russia, and Asia, and featured annually at the International Ballet Festival in Latvia. She has earned several prestigious awards, including a gold medal at the "Riga's Spring" choreographic competition in 2018. Additionally, she has contributed to international television projects and represented Latvia at various cultural festivals in Beijing and Shanghai in China.

Marija finds immense joy in introducing young dancers to the beauty of movement, believing that grace is achieved through dedication, all while savouring the joy of the learning process. She warmly invites children to join the ballet and folk dance clubs at UWC Maastricht, where students can unlock their potential and embark on an extraordinary dance journey.
