Build the skills needed for a career in the welding industry. This program prepares students to become employable welders by providing instruction in common welding processes, including oxy-acetylene, brazing, soldering, electric arc, MIG, and TIG. Students also learn how to prepare and lay out different welding joints, manage the expansion, contraction, and stressing of metals, and operate, care for, and repair welding equipment.
This course combines hands-on practice with technical knowledge and is eligible for dual credit through Black Hawk College, giving students a head start in both skills and credentials for a career in welding.
