Build your skills from the ground up! Building Trades introduces students to the essential techniques and knowledge used in a variety of construction and trade fields. Students will gain hands-on experience with surveying, concrete work, block and brick laying, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, roofing, tin work, ceramics, and painting.
Along the way, they will also learn how to select and purchase materials, keep accurate records, and develop the practical skills needed to succeed in a high-demand, hands-on career.
Our Building Trades program gives students the unique opportunity to take classroom knowledge and apply it to a real-world project, constructing an actual house from the ground up. Under the guidance of their experienced instructor, students work together as a crew, gaining hands-on experience in every phase of the building process. From reading blueprints and framing walls to installing roofing, siding, and interior finishes, students develop the technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork needed to succeed in the construction industry.
By working on a full-scale home, students leave the program with more than just classroom training, they carry the confidence, responsibility, and craftsmanship that comes from creating something lasting and meaningful.
